The only redeeming quality to alt-right microcelebrities is the predictable regularity with which they flare out in epic fashion.

I'm sorry that Vivian - Elon Musk's daughter - is dealing with an oppressive father sharing inaccurate details about her life and spreading false medical information to invalidate trans kids right to self-determination. But I love the fact she is strong enough to call out Elon's lies and persevere, despite his billions of minion around the globe still supporting his bullshits.
I want to give more space and attention to Vivian, who chooses Threads (over X) to mock her father for his lies, hypocrisy, transphobia and bigotry.
To Vivian I wish she cal find all the love and happiness a person can have in this world. I hope we will build together a better place for every queer kid. A special hug to everyone who is struggling with oppressive parents who force them into the closet.
Be proud of yourself. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️
There’s a lot of stuff I need to debunk which I will get to don’t worry, but I want to start with what I find the funniest which is the notorious “slightly autistic” tweet. This is gonna be a bit so just bare with me
This is entirely fake. Like, literally none of this ever happened. Ever. I don’t even know where he got this from. My best guess is that he went to the Milo Yiannopoulis school of gay stereotypes, just picked some at random and said “eh- good enough” in a last-ditch attempt to garner sympathy points when he is so obviously in the wrong even in his own fucking story.
I did not have a “love of musicals & theatre” when I was four, because y’know… I was fucking four. I did not know what these things were. My earliest real experience with musicals was when my twin brother had a hamilton phase in 8th/9th grade and overplayed it so much in the car to the point where for a long time I swore off the entire genre.
I never picked out jackets for him to wear and I was most certainly not calling them “fabulous” because literally what the fuck. I did not use the word fabulous when I was four because once again I would like to reiterate… I was four. Like this is so obvious I don’t even think it warrants explanation but apparently people believe this nonsense so here I am.
This entire thing is completely made up and there’s a reason for this. He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness. Obviously he can’t say that, so I’ve been reduced to a happy little stereotype f*g-ing along to use at his discretion. I think that says alot about how he views queer people and children in general.
As for if I’m not a woman… sure, Jan. Whatever you say. I’m legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don’t concern myself with the opinions of those who are below me. Obviously Elon can’t say the same because in a ketamine-fueled haze, he’s desperate for attention and validation from an army of degenerate red-pilled incels and pick-mes who are quick to give it to him. Go touch some fucking grass✨

Blog Post #8 (Due 10/31)
How is online harassment/stalking different from offline harassment/stalking?
In Hate Crimes in Cyberspace, Citron explains the role that the internet’s permanence plays in harassment. While offline harassment may eventually go away, be forgotten, or otherwise moved on from, things posted to the internet are there to stay. While both are undoubtedly very harmful and can be ongoing, online harassment is permanently embedded in the sites it remains on, often remaining there for years to come.
How do we know social media platforms are really trying to protect us from cyber harassment?
Although I don’t mean to sound pessimistic, we can’t know when (or how) social media companies are trying to help. As described in the timeline of Leslie Jones’ online abuse, Twitter made multiple statements claiming that the type of hate and harassment she was receiving was not tolerated on the platform, and that they were “investigating it.” However, we often receive very little information regarding what that “investigation” entails. While Milo Yiannopoulis’s account was taken down, online abuse against Jones and many others continued. The removal of his account was likely helpful, but what measures are taken to ensure he doesn’t simply make a new one, or plan online harassment elsewhere?
How is Reddit a particularly “popular” forum for trolls and online harassment?
In her article about trolling on Reddit, Bergstrom explains that Reddit’s is highly used anonymously. Unlike other social media platforms, it’s not based on connecting with friends and family, nor does it entirely revolve around posting about one’s day-to-day life. We know cyber bullying to be more likely/easier to commit when the perpetrator can hide their identity, as it prevents them from having to face their victim face to face. However, Reddit also runs primarily on a “Karma” system, meaning one can tell exactly how active, or liked, you are on the site. The anonymity paired with the convenient up- and down-voting of others’ accounts makes it quite easy not only for one person to initiate some form of online harassment, but it also becomes much easier for others to follow or add onto that harassment.
Is trolling always malicious?
As we discussed in class this week, trolling is not always malicious. In fact, it’s relatively common for brands or companies to troll each other in a lighthearted fashion, which often gains followers and attention for both parties. The first example of this that came to my mind was the Empire State Building, which has official social media accounts. They commonly make fun of other buildings/architecture, perpetuating a years-running joke on the accounts about the Empire State Building being undoubtedly “better” than any other building. The managers of these social media teams tend to troll very lightheartedly, and the followers seem to enjoy it. Because the account represents a building and not a person, it feels easy to dismiss this kind of trolling as a joke, rather than anything malicious or ill-intended.

Elon Musk’s trans daughter epically slams her dad for not knowing her at all
Vivian Jenna Wilson, the trans daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, refuted his claim that she’s “dead” in a series of posts on Threads, criticizing statements he made in a recent interview with Canadian right-wing provocateur Jordan Peterson, where he called her “dead” because she transitioned. “Last time I checked I am, indeed, not dead… I look pretty good for a dead b*tch,” she said. in response to Elon’s comment from earlier this week that she’s dead from the “woke mind virus.” Related I read everything Elon Musk posted for a week. Send help. If your media diet looked like his, you’d be red-pilled too. “Calling me dead on a podcast with JORDAN PETERSON of all people while basically admitting you have zero reading comprehension by saying you were ‘tricked’ into signing documents that you read over multiple times is basically a parody of itself. Like it’s honestly camp-” Stay connected to your community Connect with the issues and events that impact your community at home and beyond by subscribing to our newsletter. Like, literally none of this ever happened. Ever. I don’t even know where he got this from. My best guess is that he went to the Milo Yiannopoulis school of gay stereotypes, just picked some at random and said ‘eh- good enough’ in a last-ditch attempt to garner sympathy points when he is so obviously in the wrong even in his own fucking story.” Wilson then stated that her experience with musicals began with her brother blaring the Hamilton soundtrack during 8th grade, which turned her off from the genre entirely. She also says she never picked out jackets for him or used the word “fabulous” as she was too young. “This entire thing is completely made up and there’s a reason for this. He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness. everyone talks about the pewdiepipeline into alt-right youtube content and how it's very subtle and decieving, but nobody talks about the very obvious diving board that is youtube shorts. deadass you will scroll through them like tiktok and end up going from clips of your favourite creators or tv shows (i get a lot of twitch clips, drag race clips and toh clips) and then they will plunge you into an inescapable hellhole of prageru, ben shapiro, stephen crowder, milo yiannopoulis without warning. like how has this ever been okay.

Joe Bernstein of Buzzfeed Is Correct About White Nationalism In The GOP.
Joe Bernstein of Buzzfeed news produced a seminal article about Breitbart, Milo Yiannopoulis and how they smuggled White Nationalism into the GOP.
I suggest that it wasn’t “smuggled” but was done so quite openly and can be seen on Twitter.
First, a little about me.
I’m non partisan. I know that seems strange since I’m a registered Republican but at the time CA required you choose a party to vote…

The muzzling of the right: Coming to a House Committee near you
The muzzling of the right: Coming to a House Committee near you
Cultural and political commentators Ann Coulter and Milo Yiannopolous, public enemies of the extreme Left, which calls them fascists.
What do Rep. Gabby LeDoux, Berkeley snowflakes, Portland leftists, and Benito Mussolini have in common? A strong urge to stifle voices with which they disagree.
In Berkeley, California, the birth of the 60’s free-speech movement, neither cultural commentator Milo…

"Ummmm I keep seeing my friends being passed over for other queer people and that's why I think those queer people should die" ok, do your friends also think certain people should die because of their queerness? Cool, so they're bad people too, and I'm glad they're not in positions of trust or power. I'm not going to give a terf the power because they um actually me about being lesbians, I'm not going to let Milo Yiannopoulis into my queer hall of fame just because he's gay. You can be queer and be a fucking terrible person. There isn't some fucking golden ticket loophole for being trans AND amab. It's not fucking rocket science. If you hate queer people because they're not like you, you are a bad person.
It's pretty straightforward actually, being a trans girl doesn't make you suddenly woke or smart, there are plenty of people willing to act like you are suddenly woke or smart just for being a trans girl, and literally calling for the genocide of queer people of any kind makes you a bad person. Like ok, you're choosing that for yourself, that's cool. I'm going to say you're a bad person because that's what you're choosing to be. It's not hard maths here. Sentient human being plus wishing for the death of queer people equals bad person. So enjoy being a bad person I guess.
